Marcus (1ByteRak) still receives a good amount of submissions to this group, so THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for keeping his memory and his idea for this group alive!!
I know that in the beginning, Marcus would personally reach out to the awesome artists here to request your work. Being his Dad, I don't really have the knowledge or opportunity to do that...BUT, I have been able to approve appropriate art submissions and things like that, so PLEASE, keep them coming and maybe even spread the word for his group.
Again, thank you so much...I know that my Marcus is looking down and is both happy and proud that his group is still going!!
Just an FYI, this is Marcus's (1ByteRak) Dad, AKA, 2ByteRak. I was able to get access to my Son's profile and this group, and can now try to help keep his idea of the Platform4Platformers group going by approving submissions, etc.

PLEASE continue submitting your art to this group. Just remember that since my son and the founder 1byterak.deviantart.com/ is no longer with us, PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT TO THE FEATURED FOLDER....because they will not have the ability to get approved.
You can as a contributor, have the ability to freely submit to any of the galleries here on Platform4Platformers without the need for approval.

This group was started by my son Marcus (1ByteRak) who passed away on 9/7/17. Our family asks that you all PLEASE continue posting your amazing artwork here. This will help keep this group going, and keep alive the vision that my son had for this group....which was getting all of your talented work seen by as many people as possible.
This will also help our grieving family, by keeping the legacy of Our Son Marcus Rakentine alive.

A little late on the response here, but of course! I as a guy who can't draw does appreciate the actual work it takes to create art. Really a special breed of peeps them artist be.
I do most of the diligence on finding and requesting art of any (most) videogame platformer art I find and request it added to this group. Honestly I enjoy doing so as a means to grow this group and thus increase it's ability to promote good artwork and grow audiences for those artists who contribute to this group. This is what I did finding your channel and I'm glad you appreciated the outreach.
I do hope this group can act as a platform to get your artwork shown to new people as is this group's intentions, and maybe you meet other artists of similar taste to you. Who knows? All art you want added to any folder as a member is subject to a vote by me (as the founder) which I will usually except unless it's to the wrong folder or for another specific reason (the featured folder has "quality" measures and the comic/literary folders have extra requirements I'll be lenient on but enforce), and if I don't I'll note you why or just request to add said DA post to the group under a different folder which you can accept and have added to Platform4Platformers.

I always say everyone should give it a go. Drawing like anything else may not come easy but with a little bit of practice and kind people's advice everyone can learn how to do it the right way. Should have seen my first drawing when I started over 10 years ago - simply... 'marvelous' xD
I believe this group would help me a great deal, especially that you select only the good quality artwork. However, I think it would be beneficial for the group to try recruiting new members to advertise it, make more people appreciate your hard work.
You've mentioned a possibility of joining your crew as a contributor though and I would love to help in any possible way if you like. I'm a student and have got too much time so apart from working on new art I also look for people to cooperate with on bigger projects. Unfotunately, I am no famous enough anymore (due to my 5-year absence on dA) but I'm getting there, so I may try inviting more people and suggest high quality art to the club and if you decide than some of them deserve to be in the featured folder so be it
I've got 3 running clubs atm and one club I am in as a contributor so I know that contributors and regular members can suggest a favourite, but is there anything else they can do to support the group?
